What it Takes to Run an Eco-Friendly Restaurant

Hi my name is Michel LeBlanc I’m franchisor of Rocky Mountain Flatbread Company in Canmore, Alberta I’d like to share with you some green
incentives that we do here at the restaurant simple steps, so turning off the lights,
stopping equipment when it’s not needed pointing out leaks if we have
malfunction in our equipment for dishwasher for glass washer since restaurant use a
lot of water, this is a big one for us we’re very concerned about it we do you like to use local businesses
as well as part of our green initiative due to carbon footprint, we want
to make sure that if we get local produce we don’t have these big trucks
coming from so far away to come and deliver all our food. the more local business
involved, the better it is so we do use here in Canmore Grizzly Paw for our beer and beverages. we do roast and blend Mountain Coffee. we are also use Nadors for some of our organic produce
that we need as well Pasta To Go is one of the
producer who come and make our pasta for us, with our organic flour as well when you come into the Canmore location you may or may not notice not notice that all our furniture, tables, chairs and bar tops are made of reclaimed wood in Canmore many businesses are green
oriented Rocky Mountain Flatbread is one of the leader in this field and
we’re very proud of it
