  Two people were shot at a restaurant just minutes after a car exploded in a street in a city plagued by unprecedented gang grenade attacks   Police are investigating whether the latest incidents in Malmo, Sweden, are linked  Officers received several reports of a loud boom when a car was badly damaged in an explosion just before 9pm local time on Saturday  Six minutes later, two people were shot and wounded while they were inside a restaurant nearby  One of the shooting victims was found inside the restaurant, while the second person went to hospital on their own  Did you witness the explosion or shooting? Email [email protected]    The southern city of Malmo has been plagued by a rise in violent gang attacks which have left residents terrified and demanding action  Earlier this month, the chief of police, Stefan Sintius, said there had been 28 explosions so far this year  Sweden’s national bomb squad has been called out to 30 blasts in the past two months alone and 100 overall this year  It is double the number of incidents during the same period in 2018.  Police said it was “incredible” that no-one has been killed  Bomb squad analyst Ylva Ehrlin, told public broadcaster SVT: “There are 10 million people in Sweden and I have not found the equivalent of this level of explosions in any industrialised country ”  “It’s very serious, a social problem. We not only must find the explosives and tools, but uncover the cause ”  Far-right politicians and groups have seized on the rise in violence, claiming immigration policies during the 2015 migrant crisis were to blame
